Acupuncture for conception

Acupuncture supports natural conception by balancing hormones, improving blood flow to reproductive organs, and reducing stress. Our personalized treatments help regulate cycles, enhance egg quality, and optimize overall fertility. We can also treat common fertility challenges such as PCOS, endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve, hormonal imbalances, failed IVF or unexplained infertility.

Acupuncture for male fertility issues

Male factors substantially contribute to infertility in about 50% of all cases, yet it’s often overlooked. It’s so important for male partners to get treatment. Acupuncture combined with herbs or supplements and lifestyle changes can significantly improve libido, sperm count and quality, hormone balance, and overall reproductive health — often within just a few months of treatment.

Kind Words

Evidence-informed acupuncture for conception and pregnancy

Our approach integrates the most effective medical practices from the East to the West, assessing your body from the inside out and setting you up for a successful pregnancy by holistically addressing your physical, mental and emotional health. This means we work to identify the root imbalance, rather than simply treating symptoms.

While acupuncture and integrative medicine can be used alone to help you conceive naturally, patients often come to us wanting to combine Chinese medicine with Western fertility treatments to improve IVF or IUI success.

Combining acupuncture and IVF is highly recommended, as it is proven to:

  • Increase blood flow to the ovaries

  • Improve egg quality

  • Enrich the endometrium

  • Mitigate the uncomfortable and unpleasant side effects of drugs and hormones used in IVF cycles

  • Improve overall success rates

We focus on research-based treatment methods shown to significantly increase fertility. As fellows of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), our doctors are also kept up-to-date with the most current research into male and female fertility treatments, ensuring you get the best of care.

What to expect when beginning treatment

We begin your initial consultation with a thorough investigation of your health history, including diet, lifestyle, medical records, labs and imaging diagnostics, and your tongue and pulse. We also listen deeply as you tell your own story — this is often when we get the clearest picture of who you are and what you’re facing.

Then, we create your ideal fertility treatment plan, personalized to your unique circumstances. Over time, we focus on correcting underlying imbalances and obstacles preventing conception while increasing fertility during each cycle. Treatment often includes a personalized combination of acupuncture, nutrition, herbal formulas and supplements, massage therapy, detoxification plans, lab tests, moxibustion, cupping, Gua Sha and electro-stim.
