Patients often come to us because they want to combine acupuncture and Chinese medicine with their Western fertility treatments to improve the success of their IVF or IUI protocols.
A series of acupuncture treatments prior to, and during, a cycle will:
Increase blood flow to the ovaries
Improve egg quality
Enrich the endometrium
Mitigate the uncomfortable and unpleasant side effects of the drugs and hormones used in the cycles
Improve overall success rates
We offer onsite acupuncture treatments at your fertility clinic, pre- and post- embryo transfer, as well.
Studies show that receiving acupuncture immediately before and after your transfer almost doubles the rate of success.
We have worked with the various San Diego fertility clinics for over 15 years and have a wonderful working relationship with the reproductive endocrinologists in the area. Since 2004, we have assisted in the transfer of over 1000 embryos.
It is recommended that you begin acupuncture 3 months prior to your IUI or your IVF cycle, however, we believe you walk through our door whenever the time is right for you.
